Job summary

Equitas Health Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to deliver outstanding customer service, input and process prescriptions, verify insurance, and assist with inventory management for patients of Equitas Health and Ohio providers.

You will work with the Pharmacy team to ensure accurate pricing, coverage and 340B program compliance, while supporting a diverse patient population and delivering quality care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Certified pharmacy technician preferred.
• Two years pharmacy technician experience preferred with a preference for specialty pharmacy or 340B pharmacy experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to Equitas Health Pharmacy patients.
• Process prescriptions accurately and efficiently, including insurance verification and billing.
• Fill prescription orders accurately and securely for pharmacist review.
• Collaborate with Equitas Health Medical Center and Pharmacy staff; represent the Pharmacy positively.
• Assist in managing inventory systems to ensure medication availability and regulatory compliance.
• Obtain prior authorizations and manage insurance interactions as needed.
• Support policies and procedures as outlined in the Operations Manual.
