Job summary
Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician in Albuquerque, NM. Under pharmacist supervision, you will fill medication orders, pre-pack, compound, stock supplies, and deliver medications while supporting clerical tasks.
The role emphasizes competency in sterile and non-sterile preparation, controlled substances management, and adherence to compounding standards. Training includes Epic charting, with opportunities for tuition reimbursement and career
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician-PTCB.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician-NHA.
- Specialized, short-term training in pharmacy law, practice standards, terminology, pharmacy math, drug preparation, dosage forms and trade/generic names.
- Successful completion of Presbyterian Health Services Sterile Products Compounding Competency.
- At least one year of experience in pharmacy or completion of an accredited technician training program.
Responsibilities
- Meets and demonstrates competency in Pharmacy Technician I and II requirements.
- Completes required training in sterile/non-sterile preparation, pediatric sterile prep, and controlled substances inventory/dispensing.
- Ensures compliance with the department's Controlled Substances Compliance Plan.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
