Job summary

Regency Hospital in Springdale, located inside Freeman Medical, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support daily pharmacy operations in a hospital setting.

You will work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, handling medication preparation, dispensing, and related tasks. This full-time role emphasizes accuracy and compliance with formulary and narcotics controls.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Current Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred unless required by the State.

Responsibilities

• Complete a variety of pharmacy tasks and services within established policies and guidelines.
• Work under the direction of a licensed pharmacist and you are able to work independently; you will not provide direct patient care.
• Pick up drug orders at the nursing station and prepare medications under the supervision of the pharmacist on shift.
• Deliver the appropriate quantities of medication to the correct patient areas.
• Assist with accurate billing and crediting of patient medications.
• Maintain drugs in the pharmacy per the Drug Formulary including ordering, receiving, storing and related paperwork.
• Monitor doses administered according to the Medication Administration Record on the narcotics sign-out record.
• Maintain all forms and reports for control of narcotics and other controlled substances.
