Job summary

Pantherx Specialty LLC is seeking a Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician in Pittsburgh, PA. The role supports pharmacists, handles fulfillment, and ensures accurate inventory and shipping for rare-disease medications.

We prefer 2–4 years of pharmacy tech experience and PA technician registration; other candidates may start registration after hire. Hybrid schedules offer on-site, remote, and flexible options in a well-supported distribution setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience as Pharmacy Technician required.
• Registration with PA Board of Pharmacy or start registration upon hire.
• Preferred: 2-4 years pharmacy tech experience.
• Preferred: 1-3 years specialty pharmacy experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with fulfillment duties.
• Communicate inventory needs for medication delivery to staff.
• Fulfill prescriptions including product receipt, lot tracking, counting medications, shipper coordination.
• Organize medication on designated shelves.
• Gather supply items for delivery tickets.
• Create supply kits for programs.
• Coordinate with RxARECARE and Core Specialty teams.
• Perform additional projects as assigned.

Purpose:

The Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician position is responsible for preparing medications for patient consumption under the general supervision of a licensed pharmacist, and in accordance with federal and state laws, and PANTHERx Specialty Pharmacy policies.

To accommodate business and patient services, this position may be required to work varied and rotating full-time schedules between 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m., Monday-Friday as required by the Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacist(s) with fulfillment duties
• Communicate with staff about sufficient inventory quantities in regards to medication delivery
• Fulfillment of prescriptions including, but not limited to: product receipt, lot tracking, counting medications and shipper coordination
• Organization of medication product on designated shelves
• Gathering of supply items that are included on a delivery ticket
• Creation of supply kits for specified programs
• Communication with RxARECARE and Core Specialty team members
• Additional projects and activities as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 1 year experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• Registration as a pharmacy technician with the Pennsylvania Board of Pharmacy, unless holding a current PA State Pharmacist license. Note: If you are not currently registered as a pharmacy technician in Pennsylvania, you may initiate the registration process via the Pennsylvania Licensing System (PALS) and complete the training requirement upon hire with PANTHERx.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2-4 years’ experience as pharmacy technician
• 1-3 years of specialty pharmacy experience

This position operates in a well-lit, mail order distribution pharmacy environment. Role routinely uses pharmaceutical equipment and safety supplies.

Physical Demands:

Individual must be able to stand for extended periods of time; lift up to 20 pounds; and utilize the computer and bar code scanner. Must be able to use proper personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, gloves, eye protection and face masks when needed.
