Job summary

PANTHERx Rare Pharmacy in Moon Township, PA is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist, Fulfillment to manage drug distribution and ship medications for patients enrolled in our rare-disease program. The role includes mentoring staff, ensuring quality and compliance, and supporting on-site operations in a well‑lit, on-site distribution pharmacy.

The Fulfillment Pharmacist will supervise technicians, handle on-call duties, and participate in process improvements while adhering to safety and regulatory

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy or Registered Pharmacist degree from an ACPE accredited institution.
• Active and unrestricted Pharmacist Licensure for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
• Active and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Verifies prescription orders during fulfillment process.
• Supervises pharmacy technicians and support staff.
• Develops and enforces quality and production standards in the fulfillment area.
• Trains staff on new processes and changes.
• Participates in leadership meetings to review staff needs and accomplishments.
• Performs on-call fulfillment duties, including transporting products between Panther facilities.

Reports To: Pharmacy Supervisor of Fulfillment Operations

Purpose The Clinical Pharmacist, Fulfillment manages drug distribution and related activities for a variety of patients enrolled at PANTHERx Rare Pharmacy. The role safely and efficiently dispenses and ships medications, packages cold chain shipments, and follows all fulfillment processes in the pharmacy setting. The Fulfillment Pharmacist assists with mentoring newly hired staff, trains existing staff, and addresses escalated patient, prescriber, or PANTHERx leadership concerns. In addition, this role oversees pharmacy technicians and supports other roles daily.

Responsibilities

• Completes verification of prescription orders during prescription fulfillment process.
• Supervises pharmacy technicians and other support staff during course of daily activities.
• Assists in the development and execution of quality and production standards in the fulfillment area.
• Creates and conducts staff training for new processes/process changes.
• Participates in regular meetings with leadership to discuss staff needs and accomplishments.
• Performs fulfillment pharmacist duties during on-call hours on a rotating basis; on-call duties may involve transporting products to and from Panther facilities.
• Handles additional projects and activities as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy or Registered Pharmacist degree from an ACPE accredited institution.
• Active and unrestricted Pharmacist Licensure for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
• Active and valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years as a practicing, licensed pharmacist.
• 2-4 years of specialty pharmacy experience.

Work Environment This position operates in a well-lit, mail order distribution pharmacy environment and is 100% on-site. Role routinely uses pharmaceutical equipment and safety supplies.

Physical Demands Individual must be able to stand for extended periods of time; lift up to 20 pounds; and utilize the computer and bar code scanner. Must be able to use proper personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, gloves, eye protection and face masks when needed.
