Job Description

Under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician assists with drug distribution, including unit dose, intravenous and oral drug compounding, TPN preparation, inventory control, and automated dispensing. Customer service, teamwork, and communication are essential.

Essential Functions

• Compounds and prepares medications safely and accurately.
• Follows USP standards and regulatory requirements, maintaining documentation.
• Delivers and exchanges medications, manages inventory, and participates in process improvements.
• Operates automated dispensing technology and manages medication storage.
• Maintains regular attendance and performs physical requirements as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: One year of hospital pharmacy technician experience.
