Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician float in southeastern Wisconsin. The role supports pharmacists, prepares and labels medications, handles inventory, and assists in compounding and IV admixtures as needed.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and must obtain CPhT or ExCPT certification within 18 months. This full-time position offers benefits and a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Registration or licensure with state board of pharmacy per state.
• Must obtain CPhT or ExCPT certification within 18 months from start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed pharmacist in technical duties related to preparation and distribution of medications.
• Accurately select, prepare, and label medications including hazardous drugs and controlled substances.
• Assist with medication distribution tasks and screen phone calls using proper etiquette.
• Support daily procurement, inventory control, and outdate checking in the pharmacy.
• Document handling for controlled substances and assist in nonsterile compounding per USP standards.
• Perform sterile IV admixture using proper aseptic technique where applicable.
