Job summary
Local Health, Inc. in Touhy, IL is seeking a dependable Pharmacy Technician for full-time or part-time work at the Touhy Family Pharmacy. You will assist the pharmacist under supervision with processing and filling prescriptions, measuring dosages, labeling, and communicating with patients and healthcare professionals.
No nights, Sundays, or holidays; flexible scheduling. We will train you, and benefits include 401k with company match, employee discount, and medical/dental/vision for full-time
Qualifications
- Pharmacy Technician experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
- Ability to assist the pharmacist under supervision with prescriptions and related tasks.
- Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.
Responsibilities
- Follow company policies and procedures including register performance and confidentiality.
- Greet customers and answer questions.
- Receive prescriptions and check their validity.
- Process prescriptions electronically and ensure information is complete and accurate.
- Resolve issues such as rejected insurance claims.
- Measure dosages and fill prescriptions accurately.
- Stock, label medication and monitor inventory.
- Undertake administrative tasks as assigned.
- Comply with security measures and quality standards.
