You will assist pharmacists, operate packaging machinery, and help ensure accurate dispensing and timely shipment of orders. The role involves a flexible schedule and potential extended shifts during peak periods.

Qualifications

• Active in-state Pharmacy Technician license is required.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or NHA) preferred or required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6+ months of experience with computer and web-based tools.
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisor; read and understand English labelling.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in filling prescription items, as permitted by the state board of pharmacy.
• Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Work daily with Leadership to ensure the right medications are put in the right packets.
• Run automated machinery to pre-sort and package medications.
• Fill exception trays with appropriate medication.
• Transition orders through workflow from dispense to quality control.
• Count and label prescription vials for bulk items.
• Package medications for dispensing and delivery; prepare for shipment.
• Sort and triage boxes to ship at the right time.
• Support the pharmacy manager with receiving, shipping, counting, and packing.
• Maintain and clean equipment and work areas.
