Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED as required by state.
• Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration; PTCB preferred.
• Advanced computer skills and experience with pharmacy systems.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented with multitasking ability and deadline adherence.
• Problem solving and proactive error checking.

Responsibilities

• Enter new and refill prescriptions into the operating system accurately and timely to minimize errors.
• Triage incoming fax prescriptions to ensure timely dispensing.
• Ensure proper notes in computer and cycle fill coding.
• Calculate and verify correct dosage based on prescriptions.
• Respond to customer calls with courtesy and route to appropriate teams.
• Complete assigned prescriptions within regular shifts.
• Communicate with doctors' offices on refills and follow up as needed.
• Develop proficiency in all pharmacy systems and workflows.
• Assist with filing, packaging, inventory, and order profiling as needed.
• Learn and meet delivery deadlines; maintain cycle medication records.
