Job summary

Guardian Pharmacy of the Piedmont in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to enter and process prescriptions, triage faxes, and support daily operations with accuracy and care. The role requires a state license or registration and a national certification is preferred.

You will work in a fast-paced, team-focused environment with flexible hours including weekends as needed. Experience with pharmacy systems and strong attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience (advanced degree may substitute for experience).
• Advanced computer skills; pharmacy operations system experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines.
• Ability to solve problems with minimal direction.
• Great attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with multiple tasks.
• Quality minded; motivated to seek out errors and inquire when something appears inaccurate.

Responsibilities

• Enter new and refill prescriptions into operating system accurately and timely.
• Triage incoming fax prescriptions to ensure timely dispensing.
• Ensure proper notes in computer and cycle fill coding.
• Calculate and verify correct dosage based on prescription.
• Respond to customer calls with care and route as needed for top service.
• Complete assigned prescriptions within regular shift.
• Communicate with doctors’ offices on refills and follow up as needed.
• Develop proficiency in all pharmacy systems used.
• Assist with filing, packaging, inventory, and order processing as needed.
• Meet delivery deadlines and maintain cycle data entry records.
