Job summary

Southern Pharmacy Services, a Guardian family member, is hiring a Pharmacy Technician in Pink Hill, NC. You will enter prescriptions, communicate with customers, and support timely dispensing with a focus on accuracy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required by state requirements.
• Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration required by state requirements; National Certification (PTCB) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter new and refill prescriptions into the operating system accurately and timely.
• Triage incoming fax prescriptions for timely dispensing.
• Maintain proper notes in the computer and ensure correct cycle fill coding.
• Calculate and verify correct dosages based on prescriptions.
• Provide courteous customer communication by phone and route calls appropriately.
• Complete assigned prescriptions within regular shifts and communicate with doctors' offices on refills.
• Learn and utilize all pharmacy systems (document imaging, legacy OS).
• May assist with filing, packaging, inventory, and ordering as needed.
• Meet delivery deadlines and maintain data-entry records for cycle meds and renewals.
