MU Health Care is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for our Mizzou Pharmacy location inside a MU Health Care clinic. You will assist in preparing, dispensing, and labeling medications while coordinating with pharmacists and healthcare teams to ensure patient safety and care.

The role offers a base hourly pay range, shift differentials for evenings and weekends, plus a $1,500 sign-on bonus. Training is provided, with strong emphasis on customer service and accurate data entry.

Qualifications

• Must apply for Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Intern licensure with Missouri Board of Pharmacy.
• On-the-job training provided for the role.
• Strong customer service and communication with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, dispense, and distribute medications.
• Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and staff.
• Provide on-the-job training to new personnel and evaluate progress.
• Receive prescriptions, enter data in dispensing software, and adjudicate third-party claims.
• Prepare and label prescriptions per labeling guidelines.
• Process point-of-sale transactions with accurate cash handling and patient counseling.
• Answer calls and support pharmacist activities as needed.
• Deliver quality customer service in all patient interactions.
