Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Michigan is seeking a licensed pharmacist or pharmacy team member to join our retail pharmacy.

You will deliver patient-centered care, accurately process prescriptions, and support a compliant, efficient workflow in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities include retrieving medications, inputting data into the dispensing system, adjudicating insurance claims, stocking meds, and promoting clinical services while protecting patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Retail/Community pharmacy experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Proficient typing and legible handwriting.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve the appropriate medication from inventory.
• Input patient and prescription information in the dispensing system.
• Create prescription labels and adjudicate insurance claims.
• Complete paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
• Order prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stock prescription medications.
• Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to customers.
• Prioritize workload and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
