Job summary

Valley View Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to lead diversion prevention and auditing efforts within the pharmacy. The role focuses on regulatory compliance for controlled substances and collaboration with hospital staff to ensure safe medication management.

The position emphasizes process improvement, revenue integrity, and daily duties supporting pharmacy operations at a busy acute-care facility in Fort Mohave, AZ.

Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician with the state board or equivalent recognized by the board.
• One year hospital pharmacy experience required.
• Three years hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead diversion prevention monitoring procedures and practices under the Pharmacy Director.
• Maintain a comprehensive controlled substance surveillance program per regulatory requirements.
• Create and execute a comprehensive auditing program for controlled substances.
• Interact extensively with administration, nursing, and hospital staff.
• Participate in practice quality and patient safety for medication management.
• Support revenue integrity through daily functions and reconciliations.
• Investigate discrepancies in ADM controlled substances and follow policy.
• Review outliers in controlled substance transactions and coordinate with area user management.
• Conduct audits for pharmacy personnel and nursing medication administration.
• Develop surveillance and auditing processes to prevent diversion.
