Job summary

You must have a High School diploma, current pharmacy tech certification, BLS, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification as appropriate to practice site.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication within a multi-functional team.
• Proficient in computers and software (MS Office, Google) and pharmacy systems.

Responsibilities

• Assists with all phases of pharmacy services under supervision by a pharmacist.
• Answers phones and provides excellent customer service.
• Collects clinical and patient information and maintains required records.
• Operates pharmacy technology to prepare medication orders and assists in compounding as appropriate.
• Maintains medication supplies and monitors controlled substance inventories.
• Packages and labels medications accurately and ensures proper storage and waste minimization.
• Participates in quality and patient safety initiatives and collaborates with the team.
