Qualified candidates have completed a 240-hour pharmacy training program with internship, hold a state license, and possess CPR/BLS certification. Excellent communication with physicians and team members is essential to ensure accurate medication administration.

Qualifications

• Formal Pharmacy Training Program with at least 240 hours and internship completed.
• State Pharmacy Technician License.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Knowledge of pharmacy procedures, safety and infection control.
• Ability to relate effectively with Physicians and peers.
• Ability to recognize and report changes in patient condition; administer medication.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff pharmacist in ordering, stocking, and dispensing medications while observing budget and formulary constraints.
• Maintain pharmacy areas in a clean, safe, and orderly fashion per safety guidelines.
• Assist in maintaining stock of medications in main, satellite pharmacies and Pyxis systems.
• Assist the Pharmacist in preparing unit dose or pre-packaged medications.
• Complete Pharmacy Competency Module and stay updated on formulary changes.
• Maintain and re-stock Night Stock cabinet and audit automated dispensing systems.
• Maintain knowledge of pharmacy software and computer systems.
• Participate in Quality Assurance activities as directed by the Pharmacist or HSA.
