Job summary

Access Family Pharmacy in Chattanooga, TN seeks a retail pharmacy technician to join a fast-paced team. No experience required, but PTCB certification is preferred. Training in multiple roles and flexibility are essential as schedules include Saturdays on a rotating basis.

The position is full-time, 40 hours weekly, with hours from 9am–7pm (Mon–Fri) and 9am–2pm (Sat); Sundays closed. Starting pay ranges from $14 to $16 per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone calls from patients and families and long-term care staff.
• Read, interpret, and process physician medication orders accurately.
• Prepare new prescriptions and refills for patients.
• Assist in filling, processing and dispensing medications.
• Sort, stock, label and re-package medications.
• Process insurance claims and resolve billing issues.
• Monitor drug inventory and maintain inventory control.
• Prioritize requests and manage multiple tasks.
