Qualifications

• Knowledge of medication brand and generic names.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in person and by phone.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking stock, anticipating needs, and placing orders.
• Verify receipts.
• Remove outdated drugs.
• Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
• Type prescription orders.
• Assist Pharmacist to prepare and dispense medication.
• Process records of medication and equipment dispensed to patients; compute charges and enter data in computer.
• Understand how to handle process and dispose of waste materials, including hazardous waste.
• Abide by SMP Policies and Procedures.
