Job summary

Yakima Memorial Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support daily operations under pharmacist supervision, assisting with inventory, data entry, and order verification.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and Washington state Pharmacy Technician certification; National Certification is preferred. Retail pharmacy experience is advantageous, and driving a MultiCare vehicle may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by the Washington State Department of Health.
• Successful completion of National Pharmacy Technician Certification Program (preferred).
• If required to drive a MHS vehicle, a driver’s license is required.
• Retail pharmacy experience (retail health only).

Responsibilities

• You will assist in ordering of supplies from wholesaler and direct accounts, and verifies items received against invoices
• You will store items received and assist in maintaining stock levels, to include dating and initialing invoices and/or packing slips upon receipt
• You will enter customer’s medication and billing information into computer system
• You will answer and screen telephone calls and forwards as needed
• You will perform extemporaneous compounding under pharmacist supervision
