Job summary

Genoa Healthcare in Yakima, WA is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support the mental health and specialty pharmacy under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. You will dispense prescriptions, perform clerical duties, and help maintain accurate inventory and compliance with federal and state regulations.

Ideal candidates hold an active WA Pharmacy Technician license, with certification encouraged, and have reliable transportation. Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Washington.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Preferred: National Pharmacy Technician Certification; 6+ months experience; bilingual in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and clinic staff.
• Fills prescription orders and verifies under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist.
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies.
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders.
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records.
• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements.
• Performs various clerical duties relating to the department.
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Other duties as assigned.
