Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in preparing medication orders, maintaining stock, and delivering medications to patient care areas. The role requires NJ licensure, strong English communication, and accurate record-keeping.

Responsibilities include processing orders, compounding under supervision, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance while supporting a collaborative healthcare team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Effective oral and written English communication.
• Strong ability to multitask.
• Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with others.
• One year of pharmacy experience preferred.
• Valid New Jersey Pharmacy Technician License.
• PTCB or ExCPT Certification within 6 months of start.

Responsibilities

• Inventory management of medications and supplies.
• Regulatory compliance with procedures and regulations.
• Prepare intravenous admixtures under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Label and dispense inpatient unit dose medications.
• Deliver medications to patient care areas as needed.
• Reconcile narcotic discrepancies daily.
• Maintain all necessary paperwork and records for medications.
