The ideal candidate will have Pharmacy Technician Certification (preferred; employer assists with certification costs) and a GED or high school diploma. Prior pharmacy technician experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred; certification required after one year of employment with employer assistance.
• GED or high school diploma required.
• Prior Pharmacy Technician experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Abide by and work within the guidelines of the NC Board of Pharmacy.
• Enter, fill, and refill prescriptions accurately; organize medications for pharmacist review.
• Maintain inventory, stock tasks, and process invoices; remove outdated meds.
• Balance daily transactions and manage the point-of-sale system.
• Maintain clean records and assist with prior authorizations.
• Ensure OSHA, HIPAA, USP compliance and safety guidelines.
