Job Description

Job Summary

Molina MTM Pharmacy Services staff work to ensure that Molina members have access to Medicare Star medications and that these medications are used in a cost-effective, safe manner. These roles involve creating, operating, and monitoring Molina Health Plan’s pharmacy benefit programs in compliance with all federal and state laws. Responsibilities include formulary management (reviewing drug/provider utilization patterns and pharmacy costs), clinical pharmacy services (therapeutic drug monitoring, drug regimen review, patient education, and medical staff interaction), and oversight (establishing and measuring performance metrics related to patient outcomes, medication safety, and medication use policies).

Job Duties

• Collaborate with Molina pharmacists on medication adherence and follow-up on adherence barriers.
• Perform outreach to members, prescribers, and pharmacies as needed.
• Participate in developing and administering programs to enhance targeted drug utilization and identify cost-saving pharmacy practices.
• Identify and report operational issues and resource needs to management.
• Assist Member Services, pharmacies, and providers in resolving prescription claim, prior authorization, or pharmacy access issues.
• Communicate Pharmacy Management policies and procedures to providers and staff as needed.

Job Qualifications

Required Education: High School Diploma or GED

Required Experience/Skills: 2 years as a Pharmacy Technician

Required Licenses/Certifications: Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician Certification

Preferred Education

Associate's Degree

Preferred Experience

3+ years
