Responsibilities

• Answers the telephone and front window.
• Compounds products in IV Lab using sterile, aseptic technique.
• Gathers items needed for requisitions and orders for pharmacist check.
• Maintains clean and orderly work area; restocks medications.
• Maintains inventory levels by notifying purchasing when items are low.
• Maintains drug storage systems and unit inspections outside the department.
• Makes rounds to nursing units for delivery and pick-up of medications and orders.
• Performs charges and credits for stock sheets and returned medications in the system.
• Processes medications in assigned areas (OR, IV lab, first fill).
• Trains new employees as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
