Elliot Health System’s Elliot Hospital Inpatient Pharmacy is hiring a Pharmacy Technician I for full-time day shifts at MAIN CAMPUS, Manchester NH. You will support pharmacists, process and prepare medications, and liaise with nursing staff.

The role includes weekend and holiday rotation, 7:00 am–3:30 pm, with occasional 2nd shift; requires NH Board of Pharmacy registration and national certification, plus a high school diploma; previous pharmacy experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• NH Board of Pharmacy Registration required.
• National and NH Board of Pharmacy certification required.
• One year of previous pharmacy experience preferred.
• Knowledge of NH Drug laws preferred.

Responsibilities

• Processes and prepares all patient specific medications as per provider order for pharmacist check.
• Distributes prepared medications to health system locations.
• Maintains automated dispensing cabinet medication inventory.
• Triages telephone calls to appropriate pharmacy personnel.
• Performs monthly floor inspections to assigned area locations.
• Triages nursing staff electronic communications to pharmacists.
• Serves as pharmacist operational support during assigned shifts.

Pharmacy Technician I – Full Time 7AM-330PM, Required holiday and weekend rotation. See below. | 1 Elliot Way MAIN CAMPUS Manchester NH

Full Time 40 hours a week primarily on days. Will work varied shifts as needed for schedule (must be available to occasionally work 2nd shift). Every 3rd weekend rotation required. One Major and One Minor holiday per year.

Elliot Hospital Inpatient Pharmacy

The inpatient pharmacy department is comprised of pharmacists and technicians working collaboratively to provide safe, timely and effective medication therapy to our patients. We operate a decentralized model for both medication distribution utilizing Omnicell automation, as well as clinically with pharmacists dedicated to the teams on our nursing units. Elliot promotes career advancement through our ASHP accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Program, technician career ladder, and reimbursement for a variety of professional certifications.

About the Job

As a Pharmacy Technician in our Inpatient Pharmacy you will work closely with Pharmacist Staff to process and prepare medications for patients within the hospital. You will support the Pharmacist and work as a liaison between Nursing staff and the Pharmacy.
