Qualifications

JOB TITLE: Pharmacy Technician Certified II

DEPT: Pharmacy

LOCATION: Maury Regional Medical Center - Columbia, TN

SHIFT: Part Time. Saturday/Sunday, 9am - 9pm

JOB SUMMARY:

The Certified Pharmacy Technician is primarily responsible for performing routine tasks in the unit dose distribution program, sterile compounding, and the outpatient prescription program. The Certified Pharmacy Technician participates in the departmental quality measures, process improvements, and the documentation efforts. The Certified Pharmacy Technician assists in capturing charges and credits for medications. The certified technician assists the Clinical Staff Pharmacists and Technician Supervisor as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

* Current Department of Health Board of Pharmacy Technician License in TN Required

* Certification by PTCB as a Certified Pharmacy Technician in TN Required

* Certification by PTCB as a Certified Compounded Sterile Preparation Technician (CSPT) Required

* 1 Year of Pharmacy Experience Required

* High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred
