Job summary

California State University, Sacramento is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the Student Health, Counseling and Wellness Services. Under supervision of the Pharmacist, you will process prescriptions, stock inventory, and handle patient transactions in a licensed pharmacy setting.

The position is Non-Exempt with overtime eligibility; standard hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with coverage needs varying.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of brand and generic drug names, prescription packaging and labeling.
• Ability to perform record keeping for dispensing drugs and inventory.
• Know and follow California pharmacy laws and regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent and licensure as Pharmacy Technician by the CA Board of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Process prescription orders and assist pharmacists.
• Answer phones, handle patient transactions and cash management.
• Stock inventory and maintain pharmacy records.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with pharmacy policies and procedures.
