Job summary

California State University-Sacramento is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist with processing prescriptions, handling patient transactions, stocking inventory, and maintaining pharmacy records. This non-exempt, temporary role works under the supervision of a Pharmacist and collaborates with technicians and interns.

The ideal candidate will have a California Pharmacy Technician license, completion of an accredited training program, and strong communication skills to serve a diverse student

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and required training to be a registered Pharmacy Technician in California.
Licensed Pharmacy Technician by the CA Board of Pharmacy and in good standing.
Experience in ambulatory health center, pharmacy, or retail/pharmacy setting preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

Process prescription orders under supervision.
Answer telephones and assist in patient transactions.
Stock inventory and maintain pharmacy records.
Assist in cashiering and daily operations.
Collaborate with Pharmacist, technicians, and interns.
