Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of UnitedHealth Group, is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support the Genoa mental health pharmacy. You will dispense prescriptions and perform clerical duties under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, while ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements.

Required qualifications include an active Louisiana Pharmacy Technician license and 1+ year of retail experience, plus reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Louisiana Pharmacy Technician license.
• 1+ years of Retail Pharmacy Technician experience within the last 5 years.
• Access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service to all consumers and clinic staff.
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under the direct supervision of the registered pharmacist.
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies.
• Receives and processes wholesale medication orders.
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records.
• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements.
