Job summary

Accredo Specialty Pharmacy, a division of Evernorth Health Services, is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for our Newark, Delaware location. This onsite role supports dispensing, labeling, and packaging, while collaborating with pharmacists to ensure accurate orders and timely delivery to patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED required.
• Pharmacy Technician license preferred.
• 1+ years of relevant work experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Basic math skills and General PC knowledge including Microsoft Office, use of the internet and email
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and quality.

Responsibilities

• Select and retrieve appropriate quantities of medication and prepare the labels that correspond.
• Work with a skilled team to ensure patients get the medication they need in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and production clerks to ensure medications are adequately filled and support the pharmacy’s quality goals.
• Deliver straightforward administrative and operational support services in the Pharmacy.
• Clearly define procedures under close supervision.
• Technicians pick up the medication and help on the packing line.

Members of this team are tasked with ensuring prescriptions are dispensed and shipped appropriately within corporate and regulatory guidelines so they can arrive in the hands of the 100 million patients whose health depends on their delivery. Shift Available

Onsite, Monday - Thursday 3:00pm - 11:30pm and Friday 12:00pm - 8:30pm

How You’ll Make a Difference

• Be a superstar in the eyes of your team and the patient. Select and retrieve appropriate quantities of medication and prepare the labels that correspond.
• Use your expert problem solving skills to help our patients be at their best every day. Work with a skilled team to ensure patients get the medication they need in a timely manner.

• Task oriented to create, innovate and inspire. Delivers straight forward administrative and operational support services in the Pharmacy.

• Being a Team Player. Besides verifying, printing prescriptions and doing routine duties, techs pick up the medication and help on the packing line.

What You Should Have

• High School Diploma / GED required
• Pharmacy Technician license preferred.
• 1+ years of relevant work experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferred.
• Basic math skills and General PC knowledge including Microsoft Office, use of the internet and email
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and quality.

Physical Requirements

• Sit and/or stand for lengthy periods.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and 20 lbs. frequently
• Perform repetitive motion with fingers, hands, and arms.
• Work may be in confined areas close to machinery.
• Work may be performed in an environment with varying levels of noise.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of 17.75 - 25 USD / hourly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
