Nationwide-Children in Columbus, OH seeks a Pharmacy Technician Trainee to support pharmacists by transporting medications, maintaining inventory, and ensuring a clean pharmacy environment.

Eligible candidates must be registered or trainee with the Ohio State Board and aim to obtain PTCB or ExCPT within 6 months. A high school diploma is required, with six months of pharmacy or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Transports medications and supplies safely, timely, and accurately to their designated destinations.
  • Performs drug inventories, rotations, and stock management.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly pharmacy and accurate documentation of tasks.
  • Adheres to USP 795, 797, and 800 and relevant regulatory standards for medication handling.
  • Supports training of new pharmacy assistants when appropriate.
  • Communicates with customers using courteous phone skills.

Overview:Must be currently registered with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee or Registered.Expected to obtain PTCB or ExCPT certification within 6 months of hire.The cost of the certification examination will be reimbursed upon successful completion.Schedule:Day Shift - Must be available to work between 6 AM and 4:30 PMWeekend and Holiday rotations requiredJob Description Summary:Transports medications and supplies to pharmacies, enables partners to perform their duties in an effective manner, and maintains inventory and a clean pharmacy environment.Job Description:Essential Functions:Complies with USP 795, 797, and 800, and relevant regulatory standards for medication handling.
