Job summary

Walgreens is transforming its pharmacy technician roles to be more patient-centric. The Pharmacy Technician or Apprentice will engage with customers, build patient relationships, and learn through an ASHP and DOL-recognized apprenticeship program that leads toward PTCB certification.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment (preferred).
• Prior Walgreens experience (preferred).
• Good math skills for accurate prescription filling (counting, measuring, weighing).
• Good computer skills; knowledge of store inventory control (preferred).
• PTCB certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision in the practice of pharmacy.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Support inventory management and store operations as needed.
