Job summary

Walgreens is transforming its pharmacy technician roles toward patient-centered care. As a Pharmacy Technician or Apprentice, you will engage customers, build patient relationships, and support pharmacists with prescriptions and transactions.

The program includes an ASHP- and DOL-recognized apprenticeship to pursue PTCB certification and grow in a clinical, patient-focused environment. Training is provided to develop advanced skills and career progression.

Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment (preferred).
• Prior Walgreens experience and PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision in pharmacy duties.
• Enter patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Maintain patient relationships and deliver a distinctive customer experience.
• Support inventory management and cash handling.
• Assist and support pharmacy staff with system operations.
