Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to be at the front line of customer care in our store, building strong patient relationships and leveraging the latest technology.

You'll work under pharmacist supervision, process prescriptions, assist with pharmacy operations, and strive to deliver an exceptional customer experience while pursuing PTCB certification through our ASHP-recognized apprenticeship program.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior Walgreens experience.
• Prefer good math skills for accurate prescription filling.
• Prefer good computer skills.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
• Prefer PTCB certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision in the practice of pharmacy and serve customers.
• Process prescriptions using pharmacy systems and support cash registers.
• Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Enter patient and drug information, assist with third-party claims, and help maintain workflow.
• Support inventory management, stocking, and relationship-building with local health providers.
