Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to be at the front line with customers, helping to build strong patient relationships through a patient-centric approach. The role includes training through an ASHP and Department of Labor acknowledged program, guiding you toward PTCB certification and ongoing skill development.

Under supervision, you will assist the pharmacist, use pharmacy systems, handle prescriptions, and contribute to a positive customer experience

Qualifications

• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Willing to work flexible schedule including evenings/weekends.
• Six months of retail experience preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
• Good math skills for counting/measuring medications.
• Good computer skills; knowledge of store inventory control preferred.
• PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision in dispensing medications.
• Process prescriptions and use pharmacy systems to enter patient data.
• Provide customer service and build relationships with patients.
• Assist with cash register operations and store merchandising.
• Support inventory management and replenishment of drugs and supplies.
