Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice in the United States. You will work closely with pharmacists to assist in dispensing, process prescriptions, handle cash, and maintain patient information.

The program offers ASHP/DOL-supported training to become a certified technician while you gain hands-on experience. You will learn pharmacy systems, engage patients, and build relationships while growing clinically with guidance from experienced staff.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Six months of retail experience is preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience is a plus.
• Good math skills for counting and measuring medications.
• Good computer skills and familiarity with store inventory control.
• PTCB certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision in dispensing and other pharmacy duties.
• Process prescriptions using pharmacy systems and cash registers.
• Maintain accurate patient and drug information and handle basic clerical tasks.
• Support inventory management and ensure shelves and shelves stock are orderly.
• Contribute to a positive, delightful customer experience.
