Job summary

Walgreens in the United States is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join our patient-centered team. You will work closely with pharmacists, assist with prescriptions, and develop strong patient relationships while utilizing pharmacy systems and technology.

The Walgreens Pharmacy Technician Training Program offers hands-on learning, ASHP and DOL recognition, and a path to becoming a PTCB certified technician.

Qualifications

• Fluent English in reading, writing and speaking.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Six months of retail experience preferred.
• PTCB certification or willingness to pursue certification.
• Ability to use pharmacy systems and cash registers.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist under supervision in the practice of pharmacy.
• Enter patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Deliver a courteous, reliable customer experience.
• Assist with inventory management and cash handling.
