Job summary

Walgreens in Shawnee, Kansas is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to be at the center of patient care, supporting pharmacists and engaging customers with care and accuracy.

You'll train through an ASHP and Department of Labor–recognized apprenticeship program, aiming to achieve PTCB certification and grow within Walgreens' pharmacy team while handling prescriptions, cash register duties, and patient interactions daily.

Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekend hours.
• Experience in retail environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision in dispensing medications and verifying information.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems and process prescriptions.
• Deliver a consistent, courteous customer experience and build patient relationships.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory and assist with stock management.
• Support training and development activities within the Pharmacy Department.
