Job summary

Walgreens is transforming pharmacy roles to be more patient-centered. As a Pharmacy Technician or Apprentice, you will interact with customers, build patient relationships, and learn through an ASHP/DOL-recognized program to become PTCB-certified.

You will train under supervision, use pharmacy systems, handle prescriptions, and support inventory and cash register tasks, while delivering excellent service. Opportunities to grow with Walgreens’ training and certification efforts.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Six months of retail experience preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
• Good math skills for counting, measuring and weighing medications.
• Good computer skills.
• Knowledge of store inventory control preferred.
• PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy.
• Process prescriptions using pharmacy systems and assist with cash registers.
• Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Enter patient and drug information and maintain accuracy in records.
• Support inventory management and maintain department organization.
