Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join our patient‑centered team in New Jersey. You will assist the pharmacist, process prescriptions, and engage customers to build strong relationships while delivering compassionate care.

Our apprenticeship program, recognized by ASHP and the Department of Labor, lets you earn while you learn and work toward PTCB certification, supported by state‑of‑the‑art technology and Walgreens training resources.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
• Prefer prior pharmacy or retail experience; interest in PTCB certification through Walgreens program.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist under supervision and enter patient and drug information.
• Process prescriptions and verify accuracy with pharmacy systems.
• Provide friendly, customer-focused service and resolve queries to ensure a positive experience.
• Support inventory management and cash handling as required.
