Job summary

Walgreens Co. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to be at the forefront of patient care, interacting with customers and building strong patient relationships. The role emphasizes training and advancement through an ASHP/DOL-recognized apprenticeship program to become PTCB certified.

You will learn to use pharmacy systems, assist with prescriptions, and support the pharmacy team while delivering a delightful customer experience.

Qualifications

Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
Six months of retail experience preferred.
Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
Good math skills for counting and weighing medications.
Good computer skills.
Knowledge of store inventory control preferred.
PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in dispensing and related duties.
Process prescriptions using pharmacy systems and support cashiers.
Deliver a distinctive and courteous patient experience.
Register sales on the cash register and assist customers in OTC shopping.
Support inventory management and supplier shipments.
Assist with clinical services and coordination with providers as needed.
