Job summary

Walgreens is expanding its pharmacy technician roles in Bardstown, KY, moving toward a patient-centered model where technicians interact with customers, support pharmacists, and help build lasting relationships. The path includes an ASHP and Department of Labor–recognized apprenticeship program.

The program guides you toward PTCB certification while you gain hands-on experience with pharmacy systems, prescription processing, and daily store operations.

Qualifications

• Fluent English in reading, writing and speaking.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Retail experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision with prescriptions and patient data.
• Operate pharmacy systems and assist cashiers with transactions.
• Deliver a distinctive customer experience and support pharmacy duties.
• Assist with inventory management and stock handling.
• Support clinical services and coordination with providers as needed.
