Job summary

Hunter Care Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the Pharmacist with measurements, labeling, and packaging medications, and to handle data entry tasks as needed.

This role requires accuracy, punctuality, and compliance with HIPAA, state board rules, and company policies; you will support inventory, CDS records, and unit-dose packaging while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Must complete annual HIPPA training.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Legally able to work in the United States.
• Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy Technician Permit without disciplinary restrictions.
• Experience with pharmacy computer software.
• Complete Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy training as required.

Responsibilities

• Answering incoming phone calls.
• Data Entry.
• Receive and store incoming inventory or supplies, verify quantities against invoices.
• Inform Pharmacist or supervisor of stock needs and shortages.
• Accurately fill bottles / bubble cards with prescribed medications and affix labels.
• Assist with CDS inventory record keeping.
• Prepackage and label unit-dose packaging of medications.
• Take verbal authorizations for refill of non-controlled prescriptions.
• Communicate effectively with pharmacy staff about needs.
• Assist with record maintenance per state/federal policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
