Overview

The Pharmacy Technician assists pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications. They are accountable to the supervising pharmacist, who is legally responsible for patient care and safety. The technician follows applicable standards and laws to ensure safety and quality in pharmacy services.

Location

Mercy Hospital South, 10010 Kennerly Rd, Saint Louis, Missouri 63128. Inpatient Pharmacy.

Hours/Schedule

• Full-time, 36 hours per week
• 7 on/7 off nights, 8:00pm - 7:00am

Qualifications

Tech I:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Active registration with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy or willingness to apply by first day
• 1-year pharmacy experience preferred but not required
• Completion of pharmacy department orientation
• Skills: proficiency with pharmacy automation equipment, troubleshooting, ability to work under time constraints

Tech II:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Active registration with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy
• At least 2 years pharmacy experience required
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
• Skills: advanced knowledge of pharmacy automation, troubleshooting, time management
