Job summary

Technology Consulting Inc. has an immediate need for a Pharmacy Technician in Hilo, HI. This contract-to-hire position requires on-site work and citizenship eligibility. You will work under a Registered Pharmacist to fill prescriptions, prepare IVs, and ensure accurate delivery to customers.

Ideal candidates will have a Hawaii Pharmacy Technician registration, strong communication skills, and basic computer literacy to manage inventory and data entry tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Hawaii Pharmacy technician registration required.

Responsibilities

• Fills prescriptions and prepares IVs under supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
• Enter data into computer system for filling prescriptions and reimbursement.
• Prepackages medication for dispensing under supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
• Assist in final checking of filled prescriptions and packaging for delivery.
• Maintain inventory by receiving, rotating items, posting lot numbers and expiration dates.
• Assist in maintaining a clean/safe work environment and calibrating equipment.

Job description

TCI has an immediate need for a Pharmacy Technician in Hilo, HI. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity.

Note: This position requires US Citizenship and work is performed on-site.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, fills prescriptions and prepares IVs.
• Works with Billing Supervisor to enter data into computer system to fill prescriptions and to obtain reimbursement payment.
• Works under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist in prepackaging medication for dispensing according to standards and government regulations.
• Assists the Pharmacist in final checking of filled prescriptions, which may include stating the medication for RPh final review and/or packaging of medication post RPh final review and coordinating accurate and timely delivery to the customer.
• Assists Pharmacy Management in maintaining good inventory practices which may include receiving and rotating incoming medications and supplies, posting lot numbers, expiration dates and assisting in physical inventory.
• Works with Technician Supervisor in maintaining a clean/safe work environment, checking equipment for calibration, safety, and cleanliness.

REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Preferred experience in warehousing or distribution inventory management.
• Hawaii Pharmacy technician registraion required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills, required.
• Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology.
• Shift requirements: Available to work closing shift Mon-Fri 10:30-7pm or 11am to 7:30pm and weekends Sat/Sun 9am -5pm HST
