Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I for an onsite role at 12968 Pauline Dr, Shelby Twp, MI 48315. Assignment duration is 12 months with potential extension or conversion; schedule is 8:30 to 5, Monday to Friday.

You will work with Pharmacists to accurately prepare prescription orders, handle data entry, refills, and comply with regulatory requirements in a closed-door pharmacy setting. Backfill for FTE with emphasis on inventory, shipping and organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus 1+ year experience as a pharmacy technician or in a medical office setting.
• Current state's Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.
• Michigan Pharmacy technician license required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Interact with various departments to ensure accurately dispensed prescriptions on a timely basis.
• Work under direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Perform prescription data entry functions (preQA) by viewing images and inputting prescription information into the system.
• Prepare and submit requests for prescription refills.
• Initiate clarification requests.
• Receive verbal instructions from prescribers as allowed by pharmacy regulation.
• Complete reorder processing for timely filling of prescription refills.
• Comply with safety, quality assurance, accreditation, legal, state, and federal regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Complete work list as per Manager's guidelines.
• Assist with inventory management, shipping and general cleaning/organizing in the pharmacy.

Position Summary

• Work with the Pharmacists to accurately prepare prescription orders in a timely manner.
• Background & Context: The primary purpose of this team is to work on partner manufacture free drug programs. This team works primarily on the fulfillment side of orders, assist in inventory management/shipping and general cleaning and organizing in the pharmacy. We are a closed door pharmacy with minimal in person contact with patients. Backfill for FTE.

• Complies with all policies and standards.
• The pharmacy technician would primary be responsible for preparing orders for pharmacist to review. Pharmacy technicians would help with inventory management, shipping and general cleaning and organizing in the pharmacy.
• Expectations is for all scheduled orders to be shipped out. There is a comprehensive scorecard used to monitor productivity.

Qualification & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent. 1+ years of pharmacy technician or medical office (i.e. biller, coder, office assistance, or prior authorization/certification) experience. Familiarity with drugs commonly used to treat chronic/debilitating illnesses.
• Current state's Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.
• State pharmacy technician license relative to where the assigned pharmacy is located (exception being NY where a pharmacy technician license is not required). License required at the time of hire
