Job summary

HealthCore Clinic is seeking an organized Pharmacy Technician to serve patients and collaborate with pharmacy staff. The successful candidate will be a dependable, detail‑oriented professional capable of multitasking and working independently.

Job Description

Job Purpose: The Pharmacy Technician serves as liaison among pharmacy staff, providers, and patients. The role requires strong communication, knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, excellent organizational skills, and ability to multitask.

Essential Functions
  • Patient Population Management: Maintain professional relationships with patients, pharmacy staff, and providers.
  • Care Coordination: Ensure patients receive medications on time and coordinate with providers for questions.
  • Self‑Management Support: Highly motivated, self‑starter with strong time management skills and ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to multitask and adapt to changing environment, good judgment and decision making.
  • Quality Improvement: Identify process improvements to help patients receive medications.

Additional Essential Functions:

  • Maintain professional working relationships with pharmacy personnel, physicians, nurses, and other medical personnel.
  • Be available to customers/patients at all times.
  • Maintain a friendly and helpful attitude.
  • Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Organize medications for the pharmacist on duty to dispense by profiling prescriptions; prepare labels and calculate quantities.
  • Ensure medication availability by delivering medications to patients and ordering when needed.
  • Work with pharmacy team to ensure best practices are being followed with regard to 340B.
  • Participate in educational opportunities.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality; adhere to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Working Environment / Physical Demands

Well-lit, climate‑controlled environment. Repetitive hand and finger movement, keying information into computer. Regularly required to sit and work at computer monitor. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds. Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel or crouch.

Working Hours

8am – 5pm or as agreed with manager.
