Job summary

JobRx, Inc. seeks a Certified Pharmacy Technician to support daily operations in a hospital-based retail pharmacy at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, MO.

This part-time role involves 7-hour shifts from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, working closely with pharmacists, patients, and healthcare teams to ensure safe and efficient pharmacy services. Qualifications

• Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred
• PTCB certification required or obtained within 6 months of hire date
• State Pharmacy Technician License/Registration required (if required by state regulations)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of ASHP-accredited or equivalent pharmacy technician training program preferred
• 340B program experience preferred (if at a 340B facility)

Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions, enter orders, prepare medications, and label prescriptions accurately.
• Provide customer service, assist patients, and complete pharmacy transactions.
• Manage insurance claims, prior authorizations, and billing issues.
• Maintain medication inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and monitoring supplies.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, HIPAA requirements, and medication safety standards.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare teams to support patient care and prescription fulfillment.

This role works closely with pharmacists, patients, and healthcare teams to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient pharmacy services.
