Job summary

AIDS Healthcare Foundation is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support day-to-day operations under the Level I Technician scope of practice.

You will work within a close-knit team, prioritize patient privacy, and collaborate with healthcare providers to manage demographics and medication plans.

Applicants should have state Pharmacy Technician license (if applicable), PTCB, CPR preferred, and a commitment to AHFs core values.

Qualifications

• State pharmacy technician license (if applicable)
• PTCB certification preferred
• CPR certification preferred
• Ability to work in a HIV care environment and maintain patient confidentiality

• Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to facilitate exchange of patient demographics and medication treatment plans.
• Maintains good working relationships with staff to ensure efficient pharmacy operations.

Job description

A Pharmacy Technician contributes to AHF by demonstrating the competencies of a Level I Technician as described in the Scope of Practice and Responsibilities found in the AHF Pharmacy Policy, Procedure and Training manual, in addition to the specifics of the job classification below.

A Pharmacy Technician enhances the reputation of AHF by Being sensitive to the “stigma” of HIV and associated comorbidities, understanding the difficulty of treating chronic diseases, barriers to care, and the importance of patients’ needs to maintain anonymity and privacy.
